My name is Laura, aka Slowyzed. I live and study in Florence, I come from a small town in Salento, where the sun and the sea have nurtured my creativity. Art was born and grew in my life naturally since childhood: there is no beginning, just an innate desire to leave a trace, from sheets of paper to walls, ending up by painting on the very clothes I wore. Every surface was a portal to my inner world.
This instinctive connection with art and my passion for regenerating what already exists led me to develop a language that today manifests itself in fabric painting. Jackets, trousers or sweatshirts become living works that tell stories and enhance the wearer. My degree in Graphic Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, culminating in a capsule collection on upcycling, gave shape to a vision that intertwines art, fashion and sustainability. Giving value back to a garment for me is an act of care and attention, a symbol of uniqueness and authenticity. Through my painted garments, I transform the ordinary into something unique.
Each piece tells a story, a fragment of identity, and those who choose it find a way to express themselves without the need for words. Welcome to my little world.
