Redesign the dress into a fitted top. The size will be adjusted to be increased by adding panels of the same fabric (from the skirt of the dress) to make the side seams larger on each side. The top will have seam lines to ensure that the newly added side panels are a cohesive addition to the top and not an alteration. In addition, sleeves and a tapered silhouette will be created with fabric also taken from the skirt. The zip will have to be shortened or replaced with a separating zip (design stock to be confirmed).
